This event promises to be an absorbing exploration of California’s landscape from ancient times until the arrival of Europeans.
Daniel Gluesenkamp, Executive Director of the California Native Plant Society, and Kevin Dixon, naturalist for the East Bay Regional Parks, will speak on how we might recreate some of the native landscape with the use of indigenous plants, and how we can see pockets of it even today in various hidden places.
Chef Vincent Medina (Chochenyo Ohlone) will speak on native use of the indigenous edible landscape, his specialty.
